Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

If you have a Creative WebCam Vista webcamera and you come across this error message

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values, follow these steps:

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER)

2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}

3. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.

Goto Device Manager in Windows XP > IMAGING DEVICES > CREATIVE WEBCAM LIVE! ULTRA then right mouseclick and chose DISABLE.Right mouse click again and chose ENABLE.

It will work and it worked for my friend.
